We have got some serious weather here! Yesterday and all night we had horisontal snowstorm with additional hailstorms, lovely. On the sunday morning something happened and my main well did not work. So I drove water from my house to 11 darlings,. When everyone was inside snuggled up with warm rugs Nova started colic. Not because of lack of water nono but I think her foal turned and caused her pains. She was on the walls, shaking head and had real labour pains. So we ran out into hailstorm and splashed around in all the mud,. It was so dreadful it was actually funny, another absolutely not-romantic valentines-day for the typical horse-girl! She got better and I stayed until she was totally calm. As a magic final to this interesting day the maindoor to the stable blew up, cracked one of the iron joints that makes the door turn and did not close, so I took a big stone and that was that. When I finally went home at 00.30 Nova was ok and I could collapse into bed. The following day I had the plummer fixing well and door-man fixed the door. So all fixi fixed. So that's my un-glam weekend, still love it all because somehow everything always works out. And I can do it all by myself, love that.
Donoso Villy and Quinto is working out normal but has been inside these days except for today sun is shining so all are back outside. Villy is focused even in the storm and with mares around, good boy. He is getting more connected between hand and leg and there are more of those good moments now. I have had my farrier fix his pretty feet and I will do his teeth now aswell. He speaks all the time in the stable, previously he lived in a box with walls all the way up and no contact with other horses but now he has new friends even some girls to look at. There are three clients interested in him, England, Sweden and today Germany called so I don't think he will stay for long. I try not to get too attached to him. Here he is working out canterwork today, saddle slippled and was about 10 cm too far back so I'm crap but the horse was good :) Tomorrow better.
Everyone inside with rugs these days, except Chula and Fiero because there is no room for them I am one box short :( At least they have rugs and the outdoor house that I have filled up with straw. Start is walking in the field a few hours/ day, until he wants to go inside. He got a new rug today with a neck he has no fat so want to keep all centimeters of his body warm. He is grazing alittle and without bandage, just waiting for jawbone to fuse together a little more and then the wires will be removed. He is recovering strenght yet he can't really roll, kind of lies down but can't push himself around. But today I saw him do his first canter downhill ears piiiing! And look how he's smiling today. I am so happy, after the Start-story I appreciate my horses even more every day, sounds like a cliché I know but I look at Start and I think I am so lucky, there he is!
