We are having incredible weather here now and Starti has had his first bodyshave, the others doesn't get hairy at all. With new groom in the mornings I have more energy to do more things in the afternoon. Arena is now moist and our second round for grass is sprouting just lovely to see horses grazing abit again after the dry summer.
Here a normal saturday morning, Start does his roll in one corner of the arena, roams around freely until I saw he was going for the acorns, then the fun stopped, nono don't want any gascolics here. Incredible how Start can find things to eat always. Donoso and Viggo playing in the field. Did some shots of the girls with mummies in the evening sun, will post later, enjoying seeing them together but they will have to get independent soon.

Glorius day. Taking the time to appreciating the sunshine, after the rain we feel refreshed and grass is growing. I have been working intensively the last 6 months, no weekends, no holiday and it's hard to stop when the train is running fast. I have to admit I'm an addict to work and I don't really feel the need of holiday's but recharging for a day is good. Now is I am now reconnecting to myself and to my old and new friends. I have had old friends visiting from England and latinamerica, we have not much in common except long time friendship and connection and we enjoy our differences. So very thankful to the people and animals around me right now, for feeling strenght, vitality and passion. People around us are our references and really think that when we are desiring connection to others we need to find connection with ourselves, but it's definitely healing to hang out with a connected friend. And I admit I live for connection and I suffer when I don't have it.
Leave you with these favourite quotes from people wiser than me, have a great rest of the day!

Finally a little rain and some autumn feeling, arena soaked, no puddles tip top! Closed windows and light rugs for D and S for the first time since may. Actually closed by my parents that are here giving me a hand and the farm a facelift, as always happy to help, so greateful to them! My father just had his 70th birthday and with family gathering my brother polished up all office electronical stuff, puh always abit of a thriller to learn the high-tec but makes work easier so thanks brodern who also has a tremendous patience,.

D and S had had 1 week off but outdoors all day long you would think they would be quiet, BUT NO, this is my favourite lusi having a party one afternoon :)
Start PSLusitano now 15 years old and sharper than ever.

Now looking forward to next week when our new groom is starting! With 4 hands I will be able to focus better on their training and we will also have a new 4 legged arrival in the female herd.

Summer still here, we are all up for some water now but then I'm sure it will come and then we start agonizing about the mud so better enjoying the moment of sunshine as long as it lasts I for sure love it! Making preparations for the coming months and have been interwieving 2 stable staff, first one did not have the touch, forgot the gate to the mares was open, girls got out and fell over the weelbarrow and well what can I say it was just not meant to be. My animals need to be in good safe hands that's just how it has to be.
So we are now celebrating second mare selected and passed vetting for South Africa! After two failed vetchecks it is all about attitude and looking at how things are meant to be always for the best because they are and we are now very greatful we will be able to send this excellent filly!! Super ahtletic 3 year old 165cm girl and the extra happy news are that she will not be going alone because she'll be carrying a Donoso baby, D-linage to SA - great stuff!

Donoso is getting his tempi ones now 3 in a row, yes!!! D is twelve years old now and he is just getting better and better, yes he is physically strong but it's the mind that does it, sometimes he chooses and sometimes I choose what to work on, he tells me he is ready :) Being outside all day makes a difference and we have super nice weather now with little lower tems so horses are happy in the field all day.

I am busy now with selection and vetting mares, touchdown 1 passed and two failed prepurchase exams and more next week, no time to get bored!
Capi is doing fine, I got a short clip of him working and this nice email which made my day :)

'Hello Viktoria, Hope all is well. I just wanted to let you know how much we absolutely love Capi!  He is just a wonderful animal and we could not have asked for anything better. He and I are totally in love :)
He is putting weight on nicely and seems very very happy. He is so wonderful on the ground and has such a great work ethic everyone has to keep reminding themselves he is only five! We are planning on showing him in December in the FEI test for five year olds which should be a lot of fun.
Thank you so much for all your help with him, he is exactly what I would have selected if I had come to Spain to try horses!'

Hellooooo still summer here sun and high temps very pleasant, at the moment busy selecting breeding stock for a pioneer PRE farm in South Africa! This will be the first PREs arriving to this part of the world and the good news are that our new PRE breeder is serious about breeding horses for dressage. It's a big effort with importation to SA, not at all a straightforward procedure, I will keep you posted on their evolving breeding program.
Black PRE broodmare selected and sold to South Africa

Arena has now has irrigation system and some new sand and we are training full on. Coco is now looking like a proper dressage guy with an extended topline and able to go from relax to healthy tension, he is busy relearning how to do the flying changes using his back. Donoso was going to compete this weekend but his pilot has to work so we have to pass this competition and wait for the next one. Start is outdoors night and day, only comes in for breakfast and dinner and is very happy with that routine.
My babies are growing up fast, little Euforia is now just over 4 months old and almost same size as her 2 month older sister with a 170cm dad. Tico is quickly approaching the size and volume of Donoso with 1,5 years, where will he end up,.? Tino is just beautiful and moves fast!

Here a selected PRE small sized 3 year old PRE with good movements for sport, big overtrack in walk and good trot and canter, super sweet and easy personality, correct training. He is not listed on web but if anyone is interested please let me know, on direct sale on behalf of client.

Heeeeeej, long time no see!! Hope  you are still here and enjoying summer! Blog etc has been off as I live with my animals and don't have normal go-away-holidays I try to break routines and get into new energy like that. Many things has happened and all is positive, I have sold two very interesting PRE's to USA and one fantastic mare to Sweden. I could not go to Sweden this summer Sweden came here and I have enjoyed company from old and new friends. Since Donoso could not attend  competition because of allergy and I signed up with Start instead. Starti is a hotty so first day I tried a calming non-doping product recommended by vet which worked, second day we did not have this and so we had a warm-up with non stop correction back-ups and doing nothing correctly, scary! Good time to meditate nerves :)  But believe it or not we scored a personal best of 66% in Intermedia I, winner on 66,8% so had Start not exploded the tempis two's that he can do in his sleep we had won! Great feeling when it was done haha!

Donoso was totally healed after me smearing him with various creams and ointments 3 times a day and will now be getting back into work again. He's been happy being the king of the farm and teaching one of my visiting friends.
Three USA mares are now confirmed in foal with Donoso VII and the semen has arrived to Australia.
Donoso and Pyret from Sweden training at home in the lovely summer evening

Yeguada Ganga, represented by Jessica and her black PRE stallion Cofrade II, has joined our training program and moved to our farm. We have been training intensely for 2,5 weeks to get them into a competition mode, realistically knowing this competition was about experience rather than winning because Jessica really wanted to do a PSG with her horse. So we got into it big and worked hard to get the advanced movements for PSG (she had never done tempis for example :)) so we have all been sweating away in the heat! Coco have had some muscle ache naturally as his body is being reconstructed, so we have been massaging and giving him necessary supplements to be able to do this one competition positively. Jessica and Coco has been together for 7 years now, they have passed many different trainers and stables but have not been properly supported with their training but rather told about limitations and told how she should buy herself a nice new horse (read expensive, sold by current trainer). Which I think is more an indication of the limitation of the trainer's ability to teach and lack of humility and respect rather than about the student. God knows it's not always easy to believe in yourself and of course there are limitations but better to focus on possiblities as limitations can catch up with all of us at some point. So it was a big day yesterday for Jessica and Coco doing their PSG debute, a first for both of them at this advanced level. They finished with a very good feeling despite fatigue and got a very decent scoring and result of 58%! Jessica's goal is to compete for India in the future as she has a double Belgian/Indian citizenship. Wish them luck!

Week of training and arena is getting in shape, turns out we have enough surfice material to extend it so now we have more space for our fine little legs. Also very happy because it's holding out despite the heavy rains we did not get even one puddle, jippie! So this week I signed up Donoso for his first Intermedia I!! BUT,. this plan had to be cancelled today as D has developed a agressive rash, probably from some plant. He acutally does not seem that bothered, let's me clean and apply treatment happily but it's painful to watch and of course bridle is out of the question, my baby    I think I know which plant did it, so that plant can start to prepare itself for extinction,..

Otherwise not much summer holidays for me as I am busy working, selecting horses and attending to clients needs and my animals', but I love my job so I'm good.
Two of Donoso's USA girls are now confirmed in foal, the vet was amazed with the quality of the semen!
Finish with my two favourite babies :)
