Finally! It has been a marathon to get this baby into the world, pregnancy 11 months and 13 days. Yesterday I stayed on at the stables as the signs were getting alittle, YET only a  l i t t l e more intense. Prepared all horses (I have got alot done these days to kill time) and when all done I thought better sit down and be quiet. All those years of meditation vipassana, zen etc came in handy. Sit and wait and empty your mind not to disturb, be present etc. All was very quiet and Chula was sleeping, suddenly I heard a loud snoring and that was her! So funny. Pica did not seem to bother about me being there, I'm part of the gang I suppose. So around late at night she started and that was the time I wish I did not have fibromyalgia and have more strenght, I might be strong mentally but that doesn't help in this situation, I'm weak physically and it can be very frustrating! Pica had to do most by herself, when the membrane burst I got strenght from somewhere and pulled down and out she came, well done Pica because she was enormous, tallest newborn foal ever! When it was time to get up and eat next strenght issue, she was to heavy for me to help her up and her legs where simply to long for herself. So I milked Pica and gave her that just after 2 hours. At that point I was feeling nauseus and I just had to go home and sleep for an hour. So I did and then back and when I arrived the little leggy-lady had just gotten up and was eating, hurray!

Anyone want to guess her colour? 

I am afraid I have NO baby-news, feels like the loooooongest pregnancy ever, there she is with all signs and looking heavier than ever but that's all, not sure who is more tired she or me, puh!! You can probably imagine how many times a day I have checked in on her now for over 2 weeks,. morning, afternoon, evening, night,.. but fullmoon next week so maybe then Pica!!?
Meanwhile I have painted the stables, ridden my boys and the farm is really a nice place to hang out now with the birds singing and the lush green grass, my second home. I have two storks that live on the mares field, very cute couple. Start lives mostly outdoors, now when temps are exceptional 18-24 degrees he has even slept outdoors, with a blanket of course. Camaron and Donoso stays in but have fresh grass timeout every day. D is very attentive of the girls but when I ride on the field he is totally focused, happy horse!

I have been working also of course, bloodwork now initiated for a USA pirotest, a very exciting bay dressage PRE stallion, cross fingers for Florida! 
Little gangster came strolling by on the wrong side of the stables the other day, Tico had learnt how to open the gate,. Piece of cake to pick them up, especially Tico with his big mummy-love. I gave them a shower, which was abit scary for them as this was actually their first shower ever. Here they are playing in their field after their little adventure.

And the super affectionate Chula is glued to me at all times, puts her head on my shoulders and snoozes me with her that cute muzzle! She has the most beautiful neck and head, is super leggy and very tall, how beautiful can you be!?!

Panik hittar inte Betty, övermodiga mini hund som tar sig en promenad bland unghingstarna när hon känner för det är puts väck, känner hur magen bara drar ihop sig, hon kommer alltid när matte går upp i falcett för hon vet att då menar jag det, men nej nu finns hon i n t e. Jag traskar upp och ner för hagarna, ut i grannens hagar och nästan in i grannens trädgård. INGEN liten mini hund med blå jacka, har någon bil kört förbi kidnappat henne?  Blir helt iskall av tanken fy fan, hon finns ju inte!? Har letat i 1 timme, ringer då min mamma för nu är jag helt blockerad och kan inte tänka alls. Hon säger; Vågar knappt fråga en dum fråga är du säker på att du tagit med henne? ÅÅhhhhhhhh så glad man kan bli för ett hjärnsläpp! HUR pinsamt är detta,. men så kan det gå när man är stressad och gör 100 saker samtidigt, puh, men nu känns det som jag vunnit på lotto, verkligheten är inte alltid som man tror! 

Verklighet nr 2; Picara visar att hon ska föla, sen ångrar hon sig och så försvinner alla tecknen, sen kommer de igen, lite vaxproppar, sedan inga vaxproppar etc. Jag åker fram och tillbaka till gården, morgon, eftermiddag, kväll, natt - snälla madam-P, matte är trött!!! 

Nu går det att rida på marken igen, vi har fått underbart vårväder och det är sol och stilla. Igår tränade jag och Start piaff/passage övning i cirklar runt träden, super samling och förlängde registret för övergångarna. Roligt och riktigt nöjd med fina, heta vassa Starti! Här tränar vi för ett par år sedan.
 

Camaron still lodging at Vikinga-hotel, I think he believes he lives here now and that I am his person, he looks to me as his leader and is very personal, we will miss him when he leaves. Finally found him his bridle and the classical vaquera style suits him best, in light bay. We are now practising levadas ridden, he's got great balance and strenght!
 
Young gangsters prefers to sleep outdoors but are happy to have their patio with haybar and roof over their heads when it is raining. 

Stablework outs getting me into shape and litte Chula now has her spanish haircut. Not sure I like it, she was so pretty girly in her curls but she has a upset tummy and we just needed to get rid of the hair to keep clean. And this yellow little lady can really move, today she got happy and floated elegantly over the ground!

Morning stable workout done in 1 hour, all 3 boys got a pessoa cavaletti workout and Picara is looking more ready than before, but not yet. She has her date tomorrow so passed risk of having premature baby like last year, phew. For fun I did the ring-trick my mother always did on her mares to predict the gender of the foal. When the ring swings in a circle this indicates female, back and forth is male. The ring should be flat, no stone and preferrably gold. You have to have a steady hand, not sure mine was, but here's the test;

Nu börjar det mysa till sig på min lilla gård, samtidigt så saknar jag mer eller mindre ALLT och ALLA svenskt/ar/or, så där så det riktigt suger i själen, ni vet? Det har varit riktigt jobbigt in i självständigheten, inte bara för att det är mkt att göra och organisera men pga brist på helt vanlig medmänsklighet, den kvaliteten kom tydligen generellt inte med i den spanska folksjälen. Alltså when the shit hits the fan it goes quiet. Jobbigt. Va fan tog alla vägen liksom. Vissa försöker till och med utnyttja situationen då de vet att jag är en snäll person så då har jag har fått rensa och sätta stopp för vissa samarbeten. Då får man gympa integriteten, stänga den dörren och öppna en annan. Tack och adjö. Sedan måste jag säga att de personer jag fått stöd av har varit helt otroliga och jag kommer absolut komma ihåg vilka dessa var. De människor jag nu samarbetar med ger positiv energi och det är så jag vill ha det, för det är det jag ger och då blir det ett konstruktivt och trevligt samarbete. Så som en tröst till hjärta och svenska själ så har jag nu kört en sväng på alla svenska play-program jag kan komma över, lite samhälls program, lite nyheter och så Ryttareliten som nu är favorit så klart. Helt underbart tröstande att känna och se äkta svensk anda och harmoniska samarbeten, gud så civiliserat. Idag fick frukost utfodrings stand-in hurra, så jag kunde få lite annat gjort på morgonen, det regnade i princip hela morgonen så tyvärr har vi nu ny färsk lera, yirk. Jag städade min lilla ridbana och spolade staket och dörrar, nöjd. Så jag pysslade om mina djur som för tillfället är 8 st, killarna fick stå inne och mysa med sina varma täcken och 3 rätters hö bestående av vanligt hö, havre på strå (favorit) samt liiite alfalfa bara för det är så gott. Nya halmen är helt sagolik, guldig och fluffig och tydligen god så lyxmadrasser var det här. Är väldigt nöjd över stonas lösdrift för de hänger gärna i den, har strött och satt en nattlampa om ifall att Picara skulle få för sig att föla, maybe baby? Hon har en rund fin och låg mage men hon har nog ändå några dagar kvar enligt juvret. Gör inget, vi inväntar gärna bättre väder för detta eventet. Kan verkligen rekommendera Horseware föltäcket, det har jag använt i princip varje natt på Chula och det sitter alltid perfekt. Helt sagolikt trevligt temperament på den där lilla fröken, jag ger henne lite ASEA och kol oralt för hon var först lite förkyld och nu har hon haft diarre och när jag kommer med sprutan så gapar hon! Täcket trär jag över huvudet och den enda gång jag behövde ta på grimma var när jag skulle släppa ut dem i stora hagen, hon ville inte gå igenom grinden för där hade ju varit ett staket med ström innan. Men hon lät mig baxa ut henne steg för steg för hon litar på sin matte, finaste! Hon är så rund och fin i alla former och vinklar och rör sig riktigt vackert. 
Chuli med sin pyjamas som hon nu helt vuxit i och jag får till och med spänna ut några hål. 
 

Här är då en Festivo avkomma, född 2009, riktigt fin och en kopia av sin far fast med bättre kors och inte riktigt lika stor. Har en Sverige bokning från Sverige i år.

It's a great feeling coming home with a body weary from a a good stable-work out. Day started at 7.30 getting all inside as weather is playing up and we are having nasty nights of snow and wind. Went to get a trailer of hay, up a not so steady mountain of hay I went. Just got back and farrier was knocking on the door. Ladies + mini-girl + young boys got new feet in no time. Mini-girl strutts around with her skirt (rug) and lifts her little legs like she is saying yes you may polish my nails Mr Farrier. 5 year old Farrier-daughter took Chulas head with both hands and cuddled her, Chula very happy someone was actually lower than her. Super cute little ones! Chula is the most social, funloving little baby, she bullfight-plays running straight towards you, does the skipping side to side and then takes off with a squeeky content noise. Love her. 
And I have to give the whole crew lot's of stars for always beeing super easy. Pica can't stand having her nails done, she crawls out of her box knowing what is waiting, and she is actually genuinely scared but she puts her head down and whilst I pat her forehead she let super kind farrier Paco do his job. So much given trust, makes my heart die alittle.
Little gangters happy to be inside with mummy oco and in mode pat me, do anything to me and I am sooooo happy! So in 30 min they were ALL done, fantastic!

Then the vet dropped in and we had Nova checked, I am waiting to get her covered as I want babies to arrive abit later next year so we won't need rugs etc, it's nicer to have foals arrive with warmer temps and just before grass sprouts.   
We measured Tico and Tino as they are exactly 1 year old now. Artico is  now 150 cm!! This means he will end up at 170cm. Brillantino was 145 so he will be 165cm, goodygood!

And finally I got to clean out stables with my Spotify, Cameron outside for a run and roll and Start grazing when it started to rain. I called him but I don't think he even notice it as long as there is grass under his nose he couldn't care less. I had to go out there with some pellets to get his attention, a never failing tecnique. 

All for now, more tomorrow, and the next day,. and the next. The woman worthwhile is the woman with a smile :)

To find true courage in life we have to go through vulnerability, stay open at heart and dare greatly. So I tell you the truth which is; Right now I'm in a new situation, there are no guarantees and I can't control it, so; I feel scared. I am sure at least 10 of you have felt the same? But you know what, I am getting the feeling that being open and vulnerable is the only door to not only courage but also happiness. Because when dare being open at heart we get places, we make connections, we reconstruct and we live genuinely. I have been/ am learning that when we go through a breakdown and stay open at heart - we grow and things get better. I own my life 100% and this situation is mine, I stick to my values as my foundation pillars and I focus on the light on the other side of this tunnel. I am hopeful. 
I love my horse-home and my horse-family do too, so now I have signed the farm contract for us. Greatful for this magic little spot available for us. The sun shines through the fresnos, the birds sings and the stork speads its wings and lands in the downstairs field. Obviously a paradise for birdwatchers like my parents that are my exceptional support, happy they can enjoy their stuff too.
