Donoso is getting his tempi ones now 3 in a row, yes!!! D is twelve years old now and he is just getting better and better, yes he is physically strong but it's the mind that does it, sometimes he chooses and sometimes I choose what to work on, he tells me he is ready :) Being outside all day makes a difference and we have super nice weather now with little lower tems so horses are happy in the field all day.

I am busy now with selection and vetting mares, touchdown 1 passed and two failed prepurchase exams and more next week, no time to get bored!
Capi is doing fine, I got a short clip of him working and this nice email which made my day :)

'Hello Viktoria, Hope all is well. I just wanted to let you know how much we absolutely love Capi!  He is just a wonderful animal and we could not have asked for anything better. He and I are totally in love :)
He is putting weight on nicely and seems very very happy. He is so wonderful on the ground and has such a great work ethic everyone has to keep reminding themselves he is only five! We are planning on showing him in December in the FEI test for five year olds which should be a lot of fun.
Thank you so much for all your help with him, he is exactly what I would have selected if I had come to Spain to try horses!'

Hellooooo still summer here sun and high temps very pleasant, at the moment busy selecting breeding stock for a pioneer PRE farm in South Africa! This will be the first PREs arriving to this part of the world and the good news are that our new PRE breeder is serious about breeding horses for dressage. It's a big effort with importation to SA, not at all a straightforward procedure, I will keep you posted on their evolving breeding program.
Black PRE broodmare selected and sold to South Africa

Arena has now has irrigation system and some new sand and we are training full on. Coco is now looking like a proper dressage guy with an extended topline and able to go from relax to healthy tension, he is busy relearning how to do the flying changes using his back. Donoso was going to compete this weekend but his pilot has to work so we have to pass this competition and wait for the next one. Start is outdoors night and day, only comes in for breakfast and dinner and is very happy with that routine.
My babies are growing up fast, little Euforia is now just over 4 months old and almost same size as her 2 month older sister with a 170cm dad. Tico is quickly approaching the size and volume of Donoso with 1,5 years, where will he end up,.? Tino is just beautiful and moves fast!

Heeeeeej, long time no see!! Hope  you are still here and enjoying summer! Blog etc has been off as I live with my animals and don't have normal go-away-holidays I try to break routines and get into new energy like that. Many things has happened and all is positive, I have sold two very interesting PRE's to USA and one fantastic mare to Sweden. I could not go to Sweden this summer Sweden came here and I have enjoyed company from old and new friends. Since Donoso could not attend  competition because of allergy and I signed up with Start instead. Starti is a hotty so first day I tried a calming non-doping product recommended by vet which worked, second day we did not have this and so we had a warm-up with non stop correction back-ups and doing nothing correctly, scary! Good time to meditate nerves :)  But believe it or not we scored a personal best of 66% in Intermedia I, winner on 66,8% so had Start not exploded the tempis two's that he can do in his sleep we had won! Great feeling when it was done haha!

Donoso was totally healed after me smearing him with various creams and ointments 3 times a day and will now be getting back into work again. He's been happy being the king of the farm and teaching one of my visiting friends.
Three USA mares are now confirmed in foal with Donoso VII and the semen has arrived to Australia.
Donoso and Pyret from Sweden training at home in the lovely summer evening
Yeguada Ganga, represented by Jessica and her black PRE stallion Cofrade II, has joined our training program and moved to our farm. We have been training intensely for 2,5 weeks to get them into a competition mode, realistically knowing this competition was about experience rather than winning because Jessica really wanted to do a PSG with her horse. So we got into it big and worked hard to get the advanced movements for PSG (she had never done tempis for example :)) so we have all been sweating away in the heat! Coco have had some muscle ache naturally as his body is being reconstructed, so we have been massaging and giving him necessary supplements to be able to do this one competition positively. Jessica and Coco has been together for 7 years now, they have passed many different trainers and stables but have not been properly supported with their training but rather told about limitations and told how she should buy herself a nice new horse (read expensive, sold by current trainer). Which I think is more an indication of the limitation of the trainer's ability to teach and lack of humility and respect rather than about the student. God knows it's not always easy to believe in yourself and of course there are limitations but better to focus on possiblities as limitations can catch up with all of us at some point. So it was a big day yesterday for Jessica and Coco doing their PSG debute, a first for both of them at this advanced level. They finished with a very good feeling despite fatigue and got a very decent scoring and result of 58%! Jessica's goal is to compete for India in the future as she has a double Belgian/Indian citizenship. Wish them luck!

Week of training and arena is getting in shape, turns out we have enough surfice material to extend it so now we have more space for our fine little legs. Also very happy because it's holding out despite the heavy rains we did not get even one puddle, jippie! So this week I signed up Donoso for his first Intermedia I!! BUT,. this plan had to be cancelled today as D has developed a agressive rash, probably from some plant. He acutally does not seem that bothered, let's me clean and apply treatment happily but it's painful to watch and of course bridle is out of the question, my baby    I think I know which plant did it, so that plant can start to prepare itself for extinction,..

Otherwise not much summer holidays for me as I am busy working, selecting horses and attending to clients needs and my animals', but I love my job so I'm good.
Two of Donoso's USA girls are now confirmed in foal, the vet was amazed with the quality of the semen!
Finish with my two favourite babies :)

Start and Donoso have done the premiere tour of arena hurrayyyy!! I have longed so much for this moment it almost felt sacred stepping into the sandpit, ears pierced forward on all of us and the boys happily cantered into the softness, super happy to dig in with muscles rather than joints and tendons taking the impact of a hard floor. Wow, for a passionate dressage person this got to be one of the happiest moments in my little life, highly rated anyway!!! It has been 16 months training in fields, but I think we did great and I have to say that I have not have one leasion since I changed stables. Ok it's not ideal and very unglamorous without a proper floor, muddy in the winter, hard in the summer but horses are perfect in health, motivated and I not had even one lesion, no swollen tendons, no joint problems, no suspensory issues - nothing. And I have not even given them joints supplements, no Hyaluronic acid just good food some minerals and that's it. They are all happier and healthier with this more natural routine with freedom outdoors on a daily basis, so now when we've got the balance we can get alittle more ambitious!
Fibro is not being cooperative so right now I have started to take Cortisol (Hydrocortisone) to see if I can be helped by this at all. I have been working alot for clients and when I do not get to ride regularly I get worse, so riding is my physiotherapy and has to be prioritized so arena will be benificial also for my own health. Meanwhile the youngsters are growing like grass and here is 'Tico' checking out the girls in the field next door.

Well not me but the horses at the farm, and now also one happy gelding PRE who has settled into a life strolling under the fresno trees, how hard can it be!? Well it's actually not that easy to get used to a life outdoors again after having been a stallion and stabled the last 3 years. But little by little Capi got into his new routine with me handwalking him first. So when I let him free he was quiet strolling around smelling the green and even grazing abit. Mission completed, all happy :)
This morning

I am working lots and lots and lots, learning photography which is actually great fun but tricky and meeting professional breeders and owners which is interesting. I am very inspired always by the fantastic horses, this one below for example, merited up to his ears both in dressage and championships, calificado parents, super stud and movements for international dressage. Not many of those around! And I have a PSG doing the most incredible tempi ones, just fluid! Both readily negotiated and on direct sale straighforward no fuss.
One black very interesting PRE is coming in for training and competition and will also be on for sale.

My girly girls have moved upstairs next door to young huligans which went well with super fence. Both are just adorable and such beauties, moving elegantly over the field and it's a dream to watch. I wish I could keep both of them but I have to focus on my breeding plan which is to get D-girls into my mare herd. So Chula is for sale. Her album on page is updated and she has had her 4 month birthday now. She's adorable, has the most beautiful head and neck ever, golden baya and is pure elegance with the sweetest personality, absolute love-bug. I wish only the best home for her and I hope she can be seen at a future PRE championship.

Being a busy farm-girl and a businesswoman not quite sure how to get it all done but somehow things work out in the end! Today we have had some refreshing showers of summer rain, lovely for the horses. I have been out touring selecting and studying horses for sale and collaborating with my network of professional breeders and trainers and I have selected some new excellent yet affordable horses and got updates on some of already selected ones. I work exclusively with direct sales which means I have direct contact with the owners/breeders and I can control that there are no double/triple comissions added on top of the prices, very pleased about this and so much better for all of us!
Here one of my favourites, a super beauty multi-medal Calificado PRE with very pure bloodlines and in blending silver white! I have followed him on competition, he is bred and owned by friends of mine and know his history well. Fantastic horse and for sale!

As we say in Sweden, a funny way of feeling satisfied with yourself is really getting on with your stuff in such a way that in the end of the day you almost 'die' falling over the finish line. To a swede it's sooo satisfactory with all the ticking off from your to-do-list, yes?! Daily routine stuff is just not enough, it has to be a multitasking super day which for me includes; Stable workout in the morning, training big boys in evening, tending to small boys/girls in between, perhaps getting car washed, shopping, arranging for breeding certificates to be sent all over the world, irrigation of lawn, cooking, making pending phonecalls, answering emails- sending information- discussing horses- locating horses- negotiating horses, chasing the hay-guy,.... yeeeeees squeeeeze it all in and we have the typical multitasking day everyone says is so super bad for you. But it feels great! When I have energy I'm happy and I want to take the oportunity to do as much as I possibly can. Recipie? Coffee, cocacola and carbo-food works for me. Big nonos according to the health-profets. But I do do fresh jouices and sun, legs up for an hour at least and effective powernaps. My one physical strenght will probably be sleeping, great way of recovering and I have no problem with sleep. Fundamental.
Congratulations to Holland and good luch with this talented GP sired beautiful guy!
