So we are hit with the hotness of summer, it is hot hot during the day but the evenings/nights are just amazing with the soft warm velvety breeze. So horses and I are working out in the morning or in the late evening. And I have a new student now so I have help again with routines and it´s great!

Nova is sold to Denmark, she had one small OCD in her right hind fetlock that we decided to remove to guarantee her future performance. The OCDs of the PREs and PSLs are in my experience rarely causing problems. I do not know the scientific reason for this but what is evident is that they are not reactive like the warmbloods. Perhaps it has to do with their overall strong correct balanced physique and quality hooves. The OCD is common leasion together with arthritis and arthrosis and with the modern good quality equipment of xrays you always find some kind of leasion doing a prepurchase exam. So the finding has to be evaluated by a competent veterinarian, one that has good experience of the iberian horses, preferably as as athletes, and one that has seen many xrays. The insurance company is nor competent nor appropriate for these evaluations as their only interest is how to protect themselves and they would point out any leasion being a problem to cover their business. I have seen so many xrays since working full time these years so I am giving strong importance to the overall picture and clinical examination when I buy/sell a horse. I have seen Grand Prix competition horses with all kind of leasions on xrays and there they are performing 100%. I follow the horses I sell over the years and there they are 20+ years and performing perfectly. Also my own Grand Prix gelding lusitano Start I bought with a big birkeland fracture, some arthritis and he has never been lame from any of his xray leasions, he is 21 now and working out as normal. So with this backround experience I am not one that promotes operations if the horse has clinical health, why disturb the natural balance is my philosophy. In Nova's case I consulted my vet and specialist and they considered a possibility of a problem many years ahead from her OCD leasion. Together with buyer I decided to ge rid of this possibilty and give her future a perfection. It´s a small operation done by arthroscopy and it was done sucessfully. I took her to the clinic the day before and picked her up the next. So now she knows how to travel, such a smart and calm girl and of course everyone fell in love with her! Here's alittle clip from our the excursion. Me and my little 1 year old princess all alone. Love her.

Now 2 weeks of pampering at home and then she will be ready to leave for her new home in 3-4 weeks.

Another week has passed and now we have Picara PM confirmed in foal with Fiero VIK and Viva VIK confirmed in foal with Artico VIK, first shot and on the same day! Thanks to Jorge our super vet, 100% competence. The only little issue is that Viva had twins so we are checking her to see if one of them reabsorbs. Olé is the most beautiful and biggest foal I have ever had, full brother to Nova VIK and Llamativo VIK. I just love the Fiero-babies, here is Olé cutie with his first haircut. Fiero is now working well laterals and is such a luxury ride, he's the coolest, smartest horse. Just like his daddy Donoso was.

´Vivi' my bonus-baby has grown into a huge palomina girl, she is already 167 cm and with the size of Artico it will not be a small kid from these two! So excited for the 2021 babies!

And here's a greeting from Sweden and beautiful Judith VIK in the middle of her happy ending

I have taken Picara off the market, she is no longer for sale. She is simply the best broodmare and everytime I look around I cannot find another one I like better. And her foals are awesome. So our super-mama will stay with us.

She has been pregnant every year since I bought her and here's a list of her 8 babies;

So we are finally at the other end of the Corona-story, things are getting back to normal.

Meanwhile back at the ranch the girls herd are now complete everyone are living together. Today farrier was helping us to do girls manicure, as I had Fiero inside resting from the heat we did them in the field so we wouldn't disturb his siesta. Even 1 year old Nova-baby behaved like a star and we had it done in no-time which was a good thing as it is hot hot now

Very busy now selecting horses and keeping my selecting updated. Next week I have two vetchecks coming up, exciting!

Olé is the most beautiful baby, totally in love with him.   I had to take some pics of the girls in the upper field, its so lovely to see them in the purple sea of pretty flowers. Have a lovely weekend everyone, ciao for now!

So now Picara and Viva are covered at the same day, Viva's first time and she did well, she has been flirting with Indigo all weekend but I matched her with Artico. Hopefully both her and Picara will both get confirmed and then we will have the same due date!

Here are the pretty young girly girls.

And this is how the Vikinga stallions live, everyone is on grass as long as it lasts and not many stallions live like this in Spain. Yesterday I had Artico and Hidalgo grazing side by side in the same pasture, they are good friends also because Hidalgo is not at all macho, he acts like he is a gelding so there is no rivalry. I could also have Llamativo and Hidalgo together, but Fiero and Indigo has to stay separate as they are territorial. Everyone has their own personality and as long as you place and manage everyone according to their personality we can all live side by side in harmony. Here is my beautiful Tico in the big field under the trees. To me it doesn't get much more beautiful than that.

And I am busy selecting new horses for sale, I have a extended list and I am adding them to the homepage and facebook. Here's a pretty little PRE palomino.

So Saba and Judith has just landed safe in Sweden with their new owners, here is Saba with her new very happy person, good luck to both of you!

Picara is recovered with Fiero, I have never seen a foal of the quality of Olé, these babies inspire breeding! Nova by Picara and Fiero is 1 year old now and a sharp girl, she sends her 3 year old sisters to wait behind in line when its time to eat, so smart. Llamativo is the only stallion I lead around in the halter, he is a sweety and so agile doing tricks all day long. He wants to be close always and he follows me around like a dog, very sweet. These F-babies are  special and grow roots in your heart, the only problem I won't be able to keep them all because I

Judith's last day with her sisters Viva and Nova.

I was going to wait and breed Viva until next year but I really want a Artico-baby so I am considering covering her. Viva is a top filly and she is very tall already, she might not grow so much more if I cover her now but that's ok.

And Artico is a daddy once again, this time in Norway congratulations to owners of this gorgeous filly! There was a 25% possibility to get the most precious genetics and they got lucky as they scored and got a perlino!  She's an absolute beauty and I'm so proud of Chula and Artico. The weather is very cold in Norway, they had snow just after foal was born and she has a great little rug to keep warm.

Meanwhile back at the ranch we are grazing away the lush green grass and flowers, spring is the best time for us!

Here are the boys in the pastures!

Here are some pics from our sociable- stable days, 5 grown up stallions next to each other behaving well. But they have a strict mami that shouts at them if they won't behave, they actually listen to me even from a distance

LLAMATIVO VIK - 2 years old full brother to Olé VIK, with the prettiest head and our little artist always playing and standing on his hindlegs.

Hidalgo VIK - 4 years By Novedosa PM - Donoso VII, our sweetest stallion that definitely thinks he is a gelding.

Indigo VIK - By Picara PM & Donoso VII - our smallest stallion with the biggest movements.

Preparing for our two ladies Saba and Judith to travel to Sweden, Saba had her teeth done today and she is now fit and ready to move to her new owner. it is never an easy procedure to issue the international travel documents TRACES, add some virus to spanish byrocracy and you can dance flamenco on top on pretty much anything!

Ciao ciao, have a great week!

Pica is on her 3rd week overdue, today milk has turned white and belly has dropped so she can't be much longer now. I have my mother helping me watching her from Sweden via security camera during the nights (and days) so I can sleep which keeps me rested, she is the best grandmother ever! Tack Mamma

This years foal will start with an O so any name suggetions are welcomed,...

We have nice temps with spring thunderstorms here now, very pretty fields with flowers and the horses are grazing away.

Our sweet 'Judy' is has passed vetting and is sold to Sweden. We will miss our lovely little ferrari lady, her movements are almost unreal, she has hindlegs angles I have never seen in a PRE. She is Artico's first and Novedosa's last offspring so she is a special one for sure, way to go genetics! We look forward to see her develop with her new person. She will be leaving from Sweden end of month together with lusitano mare Saba also sold to Sweden.

Hello and happy monday! Today we had farrier breaking our afternoon routine doing the girls and Mini's feet and they were such stars all of them! Temperament is just everything, makes the daily positive to be around kind collaborative animals.

And our yearly stork has arrived, he and his girlfriend always arrives just before the foals are landing. Pica has her due date tomorrow but she is not ready yet, have to wait alittle longer.

Video release of 3 year ols girls Viva and Judith, my sweet girlies! Question is, breed them this year or ride them and wait for the next,.. Still deciding. When I see them move my breeding instinct set in. But I have so many horses now I should really sell before I breed any more. Anyways that's what my head tells me  I am not the breeder that throws their animals on the mountainside and leaves them there to grow up best they can to eat what they can find. Mine are rugs on rugs off, hand fed twice a day with a varied menu, regular manicure and inside when the weather is alittle uncomfy. And that's why I don't have a bigger heard!
